DSC00709SIMI offers as Pontifical Degrees a Licentiate and a Doctorate in Pastoral Theology of Human Mobility. The Licentiate can be obtained in two years. At the end of each semesters the exam session is held .

Enrollment

Enrollment in SIMI is held every year in September. For the per-enrollment, the candidate must fill out the proper form to be filled and presented to the SIMI office. Download here the per-enrollment form . This form can also be sent by e-mail.

Documents to be Presented for the Licentiate

A) True copy (not a photocopy) of the completed studies (Baccalaureate)

B) Photocopy of passport or ID card

C) Two pictures ID card size D) For priests: written permission of their Ordinary; for religious: written permission from their Superior

E) For priests from other Dioceses living in Rome outside ecclesiastic colleges, the written permission from the Roman Vicariate

F) For the foreign lay students:

  • Presentation letter;
  • Italian residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) for studies;
  • Declaration specifying the support given or the certification of being a recipient of a scholarship;
  • Declaration of qualification to the university study post-baccalaureate presented by the university, where the baccalaureate or equivalent title has been obtained;
  • Certificate of residence, on paper, given by the “Comune” or the “Municipio”;

All those students, who do not hold a document of eligibility, have to take an Italian test.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the Licentiate amount to EUR 1.750,00 per year. For the Doctorate they amount to EUR 1.750,00 per year.

Scholarships

SIMI grants some scholarship every year to selected licentiate and doctoral students. To get further information kindly contact the SIMI secretariat.
